Bio
A little about DK Coutant
After graduating from Davidson College with a Psychology degree, I applied my behavioral training to animals and took a job at SeaWorld, training dolphins and whales. Realizing that scrubbing fish buckets might get old, I went back to Graduate school and received a Ph.D. in Psychology, specializing in Social and Cross-Cultural Issues. I made the jump to Hawaii and worked at the University of Hawaii at Hilo rising to Department Chair of the Psychology Department.
After many happy years in Hawaii, I moved out of academics to write mysteries. When I'm not putting pen to paper, I am a Pro/Superforecaster with Good Judgement, Inc. and Rand Forecasting Initiative (RFI). My new life allows me to travel with my husband and our Old English Sheepdog. We split our time between Santa Fe, New Mexico, Olympia, WA, Switzerland, and France. My first Cleo Cooper Mystery, Evil Alice and the Borzoi, was published by the Wild Rose Press in 2023. And the second in the series, Elegance and Evil, will be released June 2025.
